If you want to be more efficient when organizing your schedule, a proper tasks organizer can help you. In this way, you can focus on your work and when it is time to do something else, the application will remind you. TimeTask is capable of more than simply reminding you that it is time to leave that game alone and start working on something important or that you spent enough time on the computer. It will execute a series of actions automatically, according to a precise schedule.

TimeTask is part of a larger suite of applications, which are absolutely free. You can use them indefinitely, without any limitations and the only fee is optional, if you want to make a donation. Just like its counterparts, TimeTask can be installed almost instantly. Once you reach the setup wizard's final step, the application's components will be installed on your computer in a matter of seconds.

The interface's simple design makes it very easy to create and schedule various tasks. They are listed on the larger portion of the window, along with details, regarding what actions they will execute, their starting time cycle, contents and state. Tasks are configured with a series of easy to understand options, located in a column, on the left side of the interface. Basically, setting up an automated task involves selecting an action from a drop menu, a start time, as well as an end time and clicking a button to create the task. In some cases, you will have to write a message or browse for an .exe file.

The software can display a reminder, open a file, run a program, play music, turn off your computer or execute other power related actions. Before creating a task, you can select a cycle, to run it on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. It is also possible to create a custom cycle, to run a task every few minutes, hours, days, weeks or months. Depending on what action you select, you will be able to activate a secondary action, like displaying a window or playing a sound. The sound itself can be selected on the program's general settings panel.

If you want the application to play music at a certain hour, you will have to organize your audio files. You can switch to a music organizer by clicking a navigation tab. You will find a series of folders, created by default, where you can add different genres of music. Of course, TimeTask allows you to create your own folders and sub-folders, making it possible to organize your music however you want.

Pros

TimeTask is capable of executing various tasks automatically. Setting up a task can be done swiftly, without too much effort. The application does not require powerful hardware, it can be installed very fast and it is free.

Cons

You can apply different skins, but there are not many differences between them. TimeTask can remind you of your responsibilities and prepare your files or programs automatically. Its simple and elegant design allows you to configure any number of automatic tasks, even if you are a novice user.
